About the project

As part of the expansion of a family-run business, the business owner’s residence was built on top of the newly constructed factory building. The elevated location, a surrounding concrete wall, and spacious green areas create a sheltered living space that offers a high degree of privacy and exceptional quality of life.

The building was constructed entirely using CLT solid wood construction and is acoustically decoupled from the underlying hall structure. A rear-ventilated wood facade with wood fiber insulation emphasizes the building’s natural character—a deliberate choice by the client, who wanted to make the building material—wood—visually apparent.

A sustainable energy concept featuring radiant floor heating, ceiling heating and cooling, controlled residential ventilation, and a photovoltaic system on the green flat roof ensures a high level of living comfort and energy efficiency. The building has been certified as a Klimahaus A Nature.

Südtirolhaus carried out the project on a nearly turnkey basis. At the client’s request, the building services work was performed by long-standing regional partner companies. The close collaboration between the client, architect Christine Pfeifer, all participating companies, and Südtirolhaus, as well as the reliable scheduling, played a key role in ensuring that the residence could be handed over to its owners on schedule.

What our customer says

Our collaboration with Südtirolhaus on the construction of our new home was very positive, professional, and based on trust from the very beginning. Even during the bidding and planning phases, they guided us with transparency, honesty, and expertise. Unanswered questions were addressed promptly, various solutions were developed together, and all important points were explained clearly. Quality, transparency, reliability, and good organization of the entire construction process were particularly important to us—and these expectations were met exactly.
Our home was built using timber construction and was virtually turnkey. Only the electrical and plumbing/sanitary work, as well as the concrete work, were contracted out by us. Here, too, Südtirolhaus supported us in coordinating and liaising with the contractors, which simplified many organizational tasks and ensured that the collaboration ran smoothly.
Throughout the entire construction phase, the processes were excellently coordinated. Deadlines were reliably met, and we always felt that the project was being competently managed and responsibly overseen. The billing was also transparent, clear, and fair.
We’d especially like to highlight the personal support. Whenever we had questions or faced minor challenges, a contact person was always available. Outstanding issues were resolved quickly, easily, and usually right there on the construction site.
We were also impressed by the quality of the craftsmanship. The finished home meets our expectations exactly, and we would choose Südtirolhaus again in a heartbeat as our partner for our construction project.
