About the project

Due to the steady increase in the number of family members in recent years, it became necessary to extend the residential building at the "Mooshof". The extension only includes the sleeping area on the upper floor and was to be connected to the existing façade and the existing monopitch roof without any offset, as was the transition of the floor from the existing to the new wing.

The fact that the extension was only planned for the 1st floor in order to preserve the existing terrace on the ground floor was a structural challenge. The new structure was anchored to the ground using wooden supports and specially manufactured steel connections in the existing wall.

Due to the relatively small new floor area, a drywall floor construction with integrated underfloor heating was preferred.

Special features & services

  • Digital survey of the existing situation to ensure smooth transitions from the existing building to the new building
  • Static challenge due to the architectural specifications (structure of the extension stands on wooden pillars)
  • Drywall floor construction
