The wooden ceiling
The ceiling is another essential component of a wooden house. Here too, we at Südtirolhaus have various solutions for you, which differ in their structure but also have common strengths.
Floor cover
As a rule, a traditional floor structure with leveling fill and heated screed for heat distribution is used. We also take care of the work for the thermal insulation against the ground or cellar, so that there is only one person responsible for the thermal decoupling of the building. If desired, we can also realize dry constructions.
The strengths of this system:
- Simple installation
- the screed acts as a heat accumulator in winter
- Very even surface, suitable for any type of floor
Professional blanket
This type of ceiling is based on the principle of the board stacked ceiling, with upright boards lined up and connected to each other, which achieves an increased load-bearing capacity with a reduced height compared to other systems. The suspended ceiling does not necessarily have to be clad on the underside and is therefore particularly cost-effective.
The floor structure is then optionally as described in the "Floor slab" section, but always taking into account suitable impact sound insulation.
The strengths of this system:
- Very load-bearing suspended ceiling with low ceiling thickness
- Possibility of bridging increased spans
- Relatively low costs
- Soffit does not necessarily have to be clad, can also remain visible
Wooden ceilings made of cross laminated timber (X-Lam ceilings)
The ceiling system with CLT panels can be used between floors and is particularly suitable for architecturally specified cantilevers in both directions. This type of suspended ceiling also does not necessarily have to be clad on the underside, but can also be ordered and installed as a lower ceiling layer in visible wood quality.
The floor structure is then optionally as described in the "Floor slab" section, but always taking into account suitable impact sound insulation.
The strengths of this system:
- Optimum static properties
- Simple system, even when laying on site
- Soffit does not necessarily have to be clad, can also remain visible
